Federal Employers' Liability Act (FELA)

FELA is a series fo federal laws which give railroad empoyees the right to recover damages from their employers when they are injured during the course of employment. Under its provisions, all railroad common carriers and their employees who are engaged in interstate commerce are subject to the requirements of the Act.
